Kordy provides services in accordance with Korean regulations governing international patient facilitation. Eligibility is not determined by nationality alone and may vary depending on whether you hold Korean nationality, your foreigner registration or domestic residence report, and Korean National Health Insurance coverage.

Kordy connects you with consultations under Korea’s international patient framework. Whether — and how — you can use the service can depend on your residence and health-insurance status, so we share the basic criteria up front. This is not a final determination; eligibility is confirmed individually during consultation.

You are likely able to use international patient consultation support in situations like these.
- You live outside Korea and are exploring medical care or a health screening in Korea
- You are planning a visit to Korea, including for medical purposes
- You are staying in Korea short-term, without foreigner registration and not covered by National Health Insurance
- You live abroad and want a consultation focused on out-of-pocket (non-covered) care
Access may be limited if
In these cases you may fall outside the international patient scope, or further review may be needed.
- You hold South Korean nationality (including dual nationality)
- You live in Korea with foreigner registration or a domestic residence report
- You are enrolled in or covered by Korean National Health Insurance
- Law or a provider’s policy may limit international patient facilitation
Frequently asked questions
- I’m staying in Korea briefly — can I use it?
- If you are here short-term without foreigner registration or National Health Insurance, you may be eligible. It can depend on your residence status, so we confirm after reviewing basic details.
- If I completed foreigner registration, am I excluded?
- Not necessarily. Foreigner registration may place you outside the scope, but exceptions such as the Other (G-1) status of stay can apply, so we review individually. We can still help with general information either way.
- What if I have health insurance?
- If you are enrolled in or covered by National Health Insurance, you may not fall under international patient services. We can still share general information and how to contact providers directly.
- Can Korean-heritage foreign nationals inquire?
- Yes. Nationality alone does not decide eligibility, so we review your nationality, residence, and insurance status together and guide you accordingly.
- I’m not sure yet — can I inquire first?
- Absolutely. Leave anything uncertain as “Not sure”, and Kordy will review and follow up with individual guidance.
