Dermatology & Aesthetic Care

Start with the concern, not the treatment name

Korea offers many skin treatments, but the same product or device is not appropriate for every concern. Before comparing clinic packages, identify what you actually want to change: pigmentation, dryness, texture, pores, acne scars, firmness, wrinkles, or facial volume.

Surface and pigment concerns

Examples:

  • dryness and barrier problems
  • dullness
  • melasma
  • freckles or sun spots
  • post-inflammatory pigmentation

These concerns may involve skincare, sun protection, topical treatment, peels, or selected laser/light procedures. Pigment type and skin tone matter because overly aggressive treatment can worsen pigmentation.

Dermal texture concerns

Examples:

  • fine lines
  • enlarged pores
  • uneven texture
  • shallow acne scars
  • reduced firmness

Clinicians may discuss skin boosters, collagen-stimulating treatments, fractional devices, RF microneedling, or combinations. The exact method depends on scar type, skin condition, downtime, and treatment history.

Contour and volume concerns

Examples:

  • cheek hollowing
  • under-eye hollowing
  • deep nasolabial folds
  • reduced jawline definition

These may reflect deeper structural or volume changes rather than only skin quality. Fillers, lifting devices, or other approaches may be discussed after clinical assessment.

Before booking

Ask:

  • What exact concern is the treatment intended to address?
  • What product or device will be used?
  • What amount, treatment area, and number of sessions are planned?
  • What downtime and pigmentation risk should I expect?
  • What should I do if a reaction occurs after I return home?
