What happens on the day of a Korean health check-up?
The exact order varies by hospital and program, but comprehensive check-ups are usually organised so several tests can be completed in one visit.
Typical flow
- Registration and identity check
- Medical questionnaire / history review
- Height, weight, waist and blood pressure
- Blood and urine collection
- Vision, hearing or other basic measurements where included
- ECG and other physiological tests where included
- Ultrasound / X-ray / CT / MRI depending on program
- Gastroscopy / colonoscopy if scheduled
- Recovery after sedation where applicable
- Preliminary guidance and result-delivery instructions
How long should you reserve?
A basic program may take a few hours. Extensive programs can occupy most of the day. Do not schedule an important meeting immediately afterward, driving after sedation, a tight airport transfer after endoscopy, or strenuous activity if an invasive procedure is performed.

International centers at major hospitals may assist with registration, appointments, interpretation or navigation, but the exact service and available languages vary.
